And on Thursday...

This project will probably take several more days, so don't give up if you haven't had your turn yet.

Jing

We are going to be learning to use Jing to record ourselves classifying. This is my test to be sure we can upload the files to our blog.

Yours will have sound, but I forgot to bring home my microphone. Oops!

Home Away Home

Over the weekend, I asked you to think of a story with a Home-Away-Home structure, such as "Little Red Riding Hood." In your entry this week, please explain in 3-5 sentences how your story fits this structure.

Also, tell me if your story includes a Pattern of Change. Be complete in your answer!

Happy New Year!

Welcome to 2010. Can you believe our school year is halfway over? That means we need to work hard and learn all we can.

This week we are focusing on stories. We'll be reading mysteries from The Reader as Detective and making plot maps. I also want us to write our own stories, so I want everyone to visit
http://teacher.scholastic.com/activities/storystarters/storystarter1.htm
Use only your first name and number as we do on this blog. Then follow the directions to create your own story using the story starter that you create. Print your story and give it to me by Monday, January 11th.

I can't wait to see what you create!
